Privacy & permissions

Chrome will show these permissions when you install. Here's exactly why each one is needed:

storage

Keeps your collected table in this browser.

activeTab

Reads the current page when you click Collect.

scripting

Runs the reader on pages you collect.

tabs

Batch mode lists your open tabs so it can collect them. Tab addresses are only used locally.

site access (asked per site)

Batch mode asks for access to the websites of your open tabs before reading them. Nothing is requested until you click Collect all tabs.
