The problem

Copying a table from a website into Excel gives you merged cells, currency symbols, line breaks and broken columns you then fix by hand.

The fix: Right-click any table → Copy Clean Table. Preview it, pick the clean-ups you want, and paste straight into Excel or Google Sheets — or download a CSV.

How to install (2 minutes)

The tools are distributed from this website, so Chrome installs them in Developer mode. They work in Google Chrome and other Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave) on a desktop or laptop.

Download the ZIP
Click Download on the tool you want.

Extract the ZIP
Right-click the file → Extract All. You'll get a folder with the tool's name.

Open chrome://extensions
Type it in Chrome's address bar and press Enter.

Turn on Developer mode
Toggle at the top-right of the Extensions page.

Click “Load unpacked”
The button appears after Developer mode is on.

Select the extracted folder
Choose the folder that contains manifest.json — not the ZIP file itself.

Pin the extension
Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar → pin the tool so it's one click away.

Important: “Load unpacked” needs the extracted folder containing manifest.json. Selecting the ZIP won't work. Keep the folder — deleting it removes the extension.

Privacy & permissions

Your data stays in your browser. No account, no backend, no database, no tracking. The tools work offline after install. Privacy details

Chrome will show these permissions when you install. Here's exactly why each one is needed:

storage: Remembers your preferred clean-up options and format.
activeTab: Reads the table on the current tab only when you right-click or click the extension.
scripting: Runs the table reader on that tab.
contextMenus: Adds “Copy Clean Table” to the right-click menu.

FAQ

Why TSV by default?+

Tab-separated text pastes into separate Excel/Sheets columns reliably, even when cells contain commas.

Does it upload the table?+

No. The table is read and cleaned in your browser and copied to your clipboard.

The page has many tables — which one is copied?+

If there's more than one, you click the one you want. The popup also lists all tables.
